Alright, Type B Moms, it’s time to spill some tea: goal setting doesn’t have to feel like climbing Mount Everest in flip-flops. If the thought of New Year’s resolutions makes you want to crawl back under the covers, don’t worry—I’ve got your back.

This year, we’re ditching the chaos and embracing the power of breaking it all down into bite-sized, totally doable steps. Enter: the Mom Brain Productivity Planner, your new BFF for getting it together without losing your chill.

Why Goals Feel Overwhelming (and How to Fix It)

Let’s be real: setting big goals is exciting… until it’s not. You start with a dream—“I’m going to organize the whole house!”—but three days in, you’re drowning in Tupperware lids and losing steam. Sound familiar? That’s because overwhelm is real, especially for us hot mess moms juggling all the things.

Here’s the key: instead of going all-in and burning out, you need a game plan that works with your busy life. That’s where the Mom Brain Productivity Planner comes in. It helps you break your goals down into manageable chunks—yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily. Translation: no more biting off more than you can chew.

Step 1: Start Big with Yearly Goals

Think of your yearly goals as the ultimate destination. What do you want to achieve by the end of the year? Maybe it’s decluttering your home, starting a side hustle, or finally drinking enough water (because hydration is key, babes). Write these big-picture goals down in the planner—it’s your North Star.

Pro Tip: Don’t overthink it. Pick 3 goals that light you up. You’re not writing a thesis, just mapping out what you want to focus on.

Step 2: Break It Down Quarterly

Now, let’s break those yearly goals into quarterly chunks. Each quarter is three months, which is the perfect amount of time to tackle a piece of your big goal. For example:

  • Yearly Goal: Declutter the house.
  • Quarterly Goal: Tackle the kitchen, including pantry and cabinets.
By focusing on one area at a time, you avoid the “OMG, this is too much!” spiral. Plus, it feels so good to check things off.

Step 3: Monthly Goals = Bite-Sized Wins

Here’s where the magic happens: breaking those quarterly goals into monthly to-dos. Let’s stick with the decluttering example:

  • January: Clean out the pantry.
  • February: Declutter the kitchen cabinets.
  • March: Organize the fridge and freezer.
These smaller goals make the process feel manageable. And when you’re consistent, those little wins add up to major progress.

Step 4: Weekly Goals to Stay on Track

Hot mess life happens, and it’s easy to let a whole week slip by without making progress. Weekly goals keep you focused. The planner’s weekly layout helps you prioritize what actually matters. Ask yourself:

  • What’s one thing I can do this week to move closer to my goal?
  • What’s realistic with my current schedule?
If the answer is “spend 30 minutes organizing one cabinet,” boom—that’s your weekly goal. Keep it simple, sis.

Step 5: Daily Habits for Consistency

Daily habits are the secret sauce. They’re the tiny, repeatable actions that make big goals achievable. Use the planner’s habit tracker to stay accountable. Here’s how:

  • Yearly Goal: Drink more water.
  • Daily Habit: Fill a water bottle every morning and sip throughout the day.
Pro Tip: Don’t aim for perfection. Life is messy, and that’s okay. Progress > perfection every single time.

ABOUT ME

So who is this Productivity Diva?

Hey, Hey! I'm DaVette! I'm a Mom Life Productivity Coach, a wife, a mom of 3, and I am absolutely obsessed with  TikTok dances. 😂💃🏾

After 6 years working as a Health and Wellness Coach, I realized that most wellness coaches will tell their clients WHAT to do to get healthy, but not HOW! So with that experience and working through my 3rd postpartum journey dealing with EXTREME Mom brain, Productive as a Mother was born!

I help Moms who are struggling with Mom Brain learn the tools they need to relieve the Mom Brain symptoms. With these tools, Moms will also learn how to create habits that allow them the time freedom they've been missing their families or just much needed time for themselves. My clients use that extra time to get healthy or to start their dream business/side hustle so they can live a life with less stress and overwhelm while still having a clean house.

My planners, journals and courses are a combination of what I've learned dealing with my own struggles and through the personal development books, courses, and coaching I've purchased along the way.. I created these tools for myself but then quickly realized that my methods could also help other Moms feel less like a Hot Mess and more like a Mom Maven! Now you will learn from my trials and errors and accomplishments in one place with the support you need to keep it going. I look forward to helping you create the productive life that you deserve!
